LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – UMC EMS earned the Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Award from the American Heart Association.
The award recognizes a commitment to offering rapid research-based care for the most severe forms of heart attacks and strokes. It is the eighth year in a row UMC EMS has been recognized by the association.
The gold designation is the highest level of achievement by the American Heart Association. The award is designed to encourage everyone involved in all stages of care to reduce barriers for patients so they get the help they need from the time of the 911 call to the hospital.
