TOLEDO, Ohio (WKRC) – Chrysler has recalled more than 24,000 top-selling Jeep vehicles.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) has announced a recall of certain 2023-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles due to a software error in an over-the-air update that may lead to a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects 24,238 units. Chrysler is currently developing a remedy for the issue. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by Nov. 25, 2025. Owners can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 for more information.

The recall is identified by Chrysler’s number A7C, and affected Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) will be searchable on NHTSA.gov starting Oct. 23, 2025.
