MONROE, La. (KNOE) – In the late 1920s, Huff-Daland Dusters began carrying passengers.
As the service grew, it renamed itself Delta Air Service for the Mississippi Delta region it covered.
Its corporate headquarters was in Monroe.
By 1930, service had expanded from Fort Worth to Atlanta, with stops in major cities along the way.
On Nov. 3, 1930, the company became known as Delta Air Corporation.
