LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock County Local Emergency Planning Committee launched its 2026 Support Our First Responders Campaign on Wednesday, seeking bottled water and monetary donations through July 11.
The campaign aims to provide hydration resources for first responders as temperatures rise. Donations will be distributed to 41 agencies across Lubbock County, including 13 fire services agencies, 19 law enforcement agencies, three emergency medical service agencies, three emergency management agencies, two volunteer organizations active in disasters and one public works agency.
The committee said traditional sources of donated bottled water have been limited by rising prices and reduced sponsorship capacity.
Corporate and business partners are encouraged to sponsor pallets of bottled water at an estimated cost of $200 per pallet. Community and faith-based organizations can collect monetary donations through special offerings, with the Lubbock County LEPC coordinating pickup and distribution.
Private citizens can donate cases of bottled water at a designated drop-off location on Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Market Street, 3405 50th Street at the corner of 50th Street and Indiana Avenue.
Monetary donations can be mailed to Lubbock County LEPC, P.O. Box 10536, Lubbock, Texas 79408.
