Two recent filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) totaling $3 million were submitted for two new retail buildings in Liberty Hill. While it’s currently unclear what retailers will be moving in, these new buildings mark the latest project for the small Austin-area suburb that continues to boom with business.
Both buildings share the same Williamson County address, 8935 State Highway 29, Liberty Hill, TX 78642, so they will likely be built next to each other. Construction on the buildings is expected to begin in early September, with work slated to wrap by the end of July 2027. All TDLR filings are subject to change at any time.
MySA reached out to Srikanth Nallapareddy, the owner of the buildings, for more information on what Liberty Hill residents can expect from the buildings and whether there are any confirmed tenants yet.
In 2025, a construction filing with the same owner listed as the two new retail buildings set plans for a $1.5 million retail building off Highway 183 in Liberty Hill. That project began in June 2025 and was expected to be completed by September 2025, but no retailers currently appear under that address on Google Maps.
Last year, Liberty Hill was named the third-fastest-growing city in Texas after going from 3,794 residents in 2020 to 14,850 in 2025.
