When/where: Saturday and Sunday at the University of North Texas’ DATCU Stadium
Participating teams: Rockwall-Heath, Carrollton Newman Smith, Austin Anderson, El Paso El Dorado, South Houston, Houston Memorial, Round Rock, El Paso Eastwood
Schedule: Teams will participate in pool play games Saturday morning to determine seeding for Sunday’s single-elimination tournament. Saturday’s pool play schedule for the two Dallas-area teams has Rockwall-Heath playing El Dorado at 10 a.m., Heath facing Austin Anderson at 11:05 a.m. and Heath playing Newman Smith at 12:10 p.m. Newman Smith will play Austin Anderson at 10 a.m. and will face El Dorado at 11:05 a.m. Sunday’s single-elimination matches begin at 9 a.m., and the state championship game is scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
Celebrity appearance: Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware will be onsite Sunday to serve as honorary captain and participate in the championship game coin toss.
