(NewsNation) — Fans are speculating Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders veteran Karley Swindel was cut ahead of what would have been her fifth season with the squad, though neither Swindel nor the organization has confirmed the news.

Swindel, a four-season veteran, appeared to acknowledge the speculation after responding to a fan on Instagram.

Online chatter intensified after an anonymous Reddit post, claiming to be from someone close to Swindel, alleged she was cut in retaliation for raising concerns about staff behavior within the organization. NewsNation has not independently verified the claims.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have not commented on Swindel’s status.

The news comes just weeks after Swindel married Landon Sandell in a ceremony attended by current and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, who performed their iconic “Thunderstruck” dance at the reception, People reported June 1.

The squad is set to return for a third season of its Netflix docuseries, “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.”
