On Friday, June 5, H-E-B registered six Central Texas renovation projects with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, with each project designated as a “fresh initiative” by H-E-B. That initiative includes the addition of required equipment to support hot foods at each of the targeted locations, a company spokesperson confirmed to MySA on Monday, June 8.

The flagged Austin-area stores aren’t the only H-E-B locations poised for the company’s fresh initiative upgrades. In June alone, company officials have registered similar projects in San Antonio, Kingwood, Kerrville, Houston and Corpus Christi, with earlier projects registered in April and May.
