A highway in Bexar County is partially shut down on Friday, June 12, following a major crash. Authorities advise drivers to be cautious when approaching the area.
The collision happened on U.S. Highway 90 West at TX-211 and Masterson Road/Texas Research Parkway around 7 a.m., according to the traffic monitoring site SigAlert. Only one lane remains open.
Commuters are still experiencing delays, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), which issued a warning to travelers in a social media post at 8 a.m. The site is near Castroville.
“Traffic in the area will be slowed,” BCSO said. “Please consider using an alternate route if possible while we work to clear the roadway.”
Folks are backed up to Hunt Lane and Ray Ellison Drive, according to SigAlert. Those near the crash site may face a wait of up to an hour. Vehicles are moving between 5 mph and 22 mph. There is no word on when the lanes will reopen or whether anyone was injured in the crash.
