Madison Hartin announced she is leaving her morning forecaster position with KAMC Lubbock as of June 19, 2026.
A fun Hub City TV fact – Hartin is a cousin of KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock anchor Christy Hartin. I will take this opportunity to say I am no relation to KFDX Wichita Falls sportscaster Tobin McDuff.
And just to strengthen my ties to Lubbock readers of this blog, I have eaten at Spanky’s, and thought the burgers were great.

“After 5 years at KAMC news I know in my soul that it is time to go.
Thank you to everyone who has tuned-in and welcomed me into your homes! It has been an honor forecast your weather and to be a part of this incredible community.
I’ve been blessed to work alongside so many amazing people. Especially @jenphillipsnews, who can always find the light even when the whole world seems dark.”
A Texas Tech University graduate, Hartin worked for the student news organization MCTV as a student.
