1 flown from Texas 199-FM 920 wreck

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Texas 199 and Farm Road 920 resulted in serious injuries to a woman who was flown to a Fort Worth hospital Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the crash between Boonsville and Poolville at 1:20 p.m. Initial reports indicate that a four-door sedan traveling south on Highway 199 collided with a Chevrolet 1500 pickup that was crossing the highway from FM 920, Wise County EMS Chief Randall Preuninger said.

The woman driving the sedan suffered serious injuries and was transported by CareFlite to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Preuninger said.

The driver of the pickup, an elderly man, sustained minor injuries and was not transported from the scene.

Responding agencies included Wise County EMS, CareFlite, Wise County ESD No. 2, Wise County ESD No. 3, the Wise County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers.
