LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Puerto Rican pride was on display in Lubbock Sunday evening.
Mano Negra Brewing Co. hosted its “Puerto Rican Fest and Friends” at the brewery near 13th and Avenue F.
Daniel Badillo, the owner of Mano Negra, created the event four years ago as a way to give Puerto Ricans in Lubbock a space to gather.
The community celebration highlighted Puerto Rican culture and embraced all of the other cultures that make the city unique.
The event featured music and dancing, food and vendors.
Badillo built his business for the community and hopes to continue bringing people together. The brewery is also the official Spanish World Cup watch location.
