LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – On Monday, the Big 12 Conference announced that No. 9 Texas Tech will have a 2:30 p.m. home kickoff against UCF at Jones AT&T Stadium, November 15.
Television coverage will be provided nationally on FOX. The game will air on FOX34.
According to Texas Tech Athletics, the Saturday matinee will also signify Senior Day for a special group.
A group who have taken the Red Raiders to heights it hasn’t seen since the monumental 2008 campaign that also saw Texas Tech rise to the Top 10 of the national rankings and drew ESPN’s College Gameday to Lubbock.Â
This will be Texas Tech’s sixth appearance on FOX alone this season and the seventh time in 2025 that the Red Raiders will be featured on an over-the-air network (FOX, ABC), as the Red Raiders have been a regular in marquee matchups for the Big 12 this season.
It will be only the second all-time meeting against the Knights on Nov. 15, who last visited Lubbock during their first season as a Big 12 member in 2023.
It was before the league announced its four-year scheduling (2024-27) matrix, as it pit UCF and Texas Tech against one another twice, with the first trip in Lubbock in 2025 and the second in Orlando in 2027.
The Red Raiders downed UCF in its first meeting, 24-23, behind a late blocked PAT from E’Maurion Banks, which helped Texas Tech earn its sixth win and become bowl eligible in Joey McGuire’s second season.
Texas Tech has less than 1,500 tickets remaining for the UCF game as of Monday morning. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Athletics Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH or by visiting texastech.com.
