Allen’s newest public gathering space is preparing to welcome its first celebration. Bravo Park, the central green space within Billingsley Company’s Sloan Corners development, will officially celebrate its grand opening on June 20.
The park at 785 Bravo Park Drive sits within a development that, when fully built out, will span roughly 480 acres and carry an estimated $3 billion price tag. The long-term plan includes residential communities, retail, restaurants and office space woven around preserved natural areas.
A Park Designed As The Centerpiece
At the center of Sloan Corners is a growing North Texas trend of building public spaces first and developing the community around them. Billingsley Company Founder and Principal Lucy Billingsley said the approach focuses on experience rather than structures.
“We are blessed with 30 acres of woods and water, and we wanted to create a magical destination where people can experience nature as if it were their own backyard,” said Billingsley.
The plan centers on enhancing the area’s natural landscape with a mix of activities and shared spaces, including public art, dog parks, playgrounds and trails designed to bring people together and encourage exploration and connection. That emphasis on the public realm, she added, guides every stage of the development process.
“We ask ourselves what people will experience as they drive, walk and immerse themselves in a place,” Billingsley said, “Once we’ve created something special that can be appreciated and enjoyed by everyone, we can then thoughtfully introduce the buildings and commercial development around it.”

Sloan Corners is designed to lean heavily into its existing landscape, with mature trees and water features driving the layout rather than being treated as background scenery. Billingsley pointed to a mix of amenities intended to encourage activity and casual use throughout the day.
Grand Opening Details
The grand opening, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will bring the park’s vision into a public showcase, with programming designed to appeal across age groups.
Attendees can expect live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, family activities, pickleball and dog park activations, public art installations and interactive experiences spread throughout the grounds. A scavenger hunt, ceremonial tree planting and community time capsule project are also planned.
Visitors will also be able to tour a model apartment for a chance to win six months of free rent at Hartwood at Sloan Corners.
“Attendees can expect a fun day that celebrates both the park and the community we’re building at Sloan Corners,” said Billingsley. “I hope people take time to enjoy the woods, experience the natural beauty of the property and begin to imagine what Bravo Park will become as it continues to grow.”
A Long-Term Bet On North Texas
As North Texas continues to absorb rapid population growth, projects like Sloan Corners are increasingly leaning into large-scale amenity planning as a core development strategy rather than an afterthought. For Billingsley, the goal is not just to build housing or retail, but to shape how people experience the region as it expands.

“I want everyone to fall in love with the area,” she said. “I want them to want to live and dine and play with us. We really care about our residents and their lives. I hope they can see this is all our attention to design. We think we create the most beautiful apartments and communities in Texas (and maybe beyond). This is because we want to create life-enriching communities. We care.”
Looking ahead, she said the intent is for Bravo Park to evolve in real time alongside the community forming around it.
This summer marks the start of Bravo Park, with pickleball courts, dog parks and a water dog park already open. Mexican Bar Company and City Futsal Allen are expected to join later this summer, followed by a playground this fall. The goal is for visitors to experience the park as it grows, return often and help shape what comes next.
North Texas is growing rapidly, with Allen positioned at the heart of that expansion. Located at the intersection of SH 121 and U.S. 75, Sloan Corners sits on one of the region’s largest remaining undeveloped tracts.
“Our goal is to bring the best of Texas into the future while creating a destination that serves the community for generations to come,” Billingsley said.
