CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A shooting incident early on June 15, 2026, resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old man, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Officers responded to the 4500 block of S. Padre Island Dr. at 2:10 a.m. after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a crime scene and learned that a 24-year-old male victim had self-transported to a local hospital. A second male, age 26, was found at a different location with gunshot wounds and was transported by medics to a hospital.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene to investigate and interview witnesses. A third male, Jesus Lozano, age 27, was detained and taken to the Main Station for a formal interview. It was determined that a disturbance had occurred between the three men prior to the shooting, leading to Lozano’s arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The individuals involved are known to each other, and the incident is considered isolated. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
