LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Alzheimer’s Association kicked off its 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s event today with a ribbon cutting outside of the Texas Tech Federal Credit Union near 79th St. and Milwaukee Ave.
More than 459,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s disease in Texas, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. The nonprofit is asking people to take action to support those affected.
Organizers were joined by the Lubbock Chamber.
The walk will be Saturday, Oct. 3. There is no registration fee to join, and participants can sign up individually or with a team. Donations are also being accepted to help research efforts.
