Rodent droppings, expired food and moldy ice were found at Crowley restaurants during recent health inspections, reports show.
Crowley health inspections are handled by Tarrant County Public Health. There were 14 inspections conducted between Oct. 12 and Oct. 25, according to data from the county compiled by the Star-Telegram.
Tarrant County Public Health has transitioned to a new inspection report format. The highest possible score under the new system is 100, and 70 is considered extremely poor. Restaurants and other establishments that serve food scoring below 70 require a follow-up inspection.
One restaurant had a low score during this inspection cycle.
Pandan Thai Kitchen, at 448 E. Main St., scored 79 after health inspectors observed cross-contamination, buildup of residue and debris on equipment and floors, and the kitchen staff’s food handler cards weren’t available.
Rodents droppings were observed at Quick Pantry at 800 N. Crowley Road. The store also had expired cans of food on sales shelves, and inspectors observed black organic matter on the interior of the ice machine. The store scored 95.

McCloud Grocery Inc, at 928 W. Main St.. Score 97.Our Place Restaurant Too, at 326 E. Main St. Score 85.Boo Rays Of New Orleans, at 316 E. Main St. Score 89.Crowley Nursing And Rehabilitation, at 920 E. FM 1187. Score: 94.
Cans of expired food on shelves for service were also found at DJs Food Mart at 904 S. Crowley Road. Score: 95.
