The five-stage reverse-osmosis filtration system reduces contaminants such as microplastics, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and more, according to its website.

Austin Parks and Recreation recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Park Ridge Neighborhood Park. The two-acre park was funded by the city’s parkland dedication program, according to a Facebook post.
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
The newest Snooze, an A.M. Eatery location, opened at the Arbor Trails shopping center. Snooze’s menu features a variety of breakfast fares, including classic breakfast plates, biscuits and gravy, omelets, pancakes, eggs Benedict and more.
Switchback Coffee and Beer
Owned by Grace Nicholas and Ethan Wagner, the new business serves specialty coffee, craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages. They are a community-focused business with a love for adventure and the outdoors, Wagner said.
The Lucky Duck
The bar’s second location features draft beers, signature cocktails, food trucks, outdoor covered seating, yard games, TVs and more.
Tso Chinese Takeout & Delivery
The Chinese restaurant chain recently opened its newest location in Southwest Austin, according to a Facebook post by the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce. The menu features appetizers, Tso Plates, wings and rice and noodle dishes.
Urban Bird Hot Chicken
A new location of the chicken restaurant chain recently opened in Sunset Valley. Urban Bird’s menu features chicken sandwiches, tenders, smash burgers, loaded fries, sampler trays, milkshakes and more.
Velocity Credit Union
The credit union opened a new branch in South Austin, offering a variety of banking services such as checking and savings accounts, money markets, home and vehicle loans, retirement accounts and more.

Hao-Hao Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant
The restaurant could open a new location in Arbor Trails, per a TDLR filing. The restaurant previously operated off William Cannon Drive before its original owners retired and served a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine such as pho, vermicelli, egg foo young and more.

The 512 Eye team has been serving the Southwest Austin community for 10 years. The optometrist’s office offers eye exams, eye disease treatment, eye injury and infection treatment, LASIK and cataract surgery, frames and contact lenses, according to the website.
Donut Taco Palace I
The donut and taco shop is celebrating its 20-year anniversary on June 15 and is known for its donut tacos and donut sandwiches, which combine fillings such as bacon, eggs, chorizo or cheese in between donut slices. The menu also includes breakfast tacos, glazed, iced and cake donuts, and kolaches.
Menchaca Road Branch Library
The Menchaca Road Branch of the Austin Public Library will close this summer for a major modernization project, according to a news release from the Austin Public Library. The branch will close on June 14 for about a year while construction is underway.

Prototype Vintage
The store closed its South Congress location after 20 years due to its 110-year-old building requiring extensive electrical and plumbing updates to modernize operations, the owners said. The inventory at Prototype Vintage, 123 E. North Loop Blvd., Austin, will double.
Worth the trip
COVE
COVE relocated to South Lamar Boulevard after 10 years off South Congress Avenue, the women’s boutique announced in a news release. The new location is larger, features more fitting rooms, free parking options and has a trend-driven inventory.
