Fallen Odessa firefighter returns home under honor escort

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Odessa Fire Rescue Lt. Isai Huerta has returned home to Odessa following an autopsy in Lubbock.

Earlier today, an honor escort accompanied Lt. Huerta from Lubbock to Odessa following an autopsy.

The procession entered Odessa and was met by first responders and law enforcement agencies from across the region.

The escort traveled south on U.S. Highway 385 before continuing along Loop 338, 56th Street, Billy Hext Road and the Highway 80 service road en route to Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

The Odessa Fire Rescue family, fellow first responders and residents gathered to honor his service and sacrifice.

More information regarding funeral services and memorial arrangements is expected to be released in the coming days.
