Arlington police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian that happened around 4:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Bowen Road.
Police believe the person was trying to cross the freeway. Westbound I-20 was closed for hours around Cooper Street to accommodate the investigation.
The road was reopened shortly before 10 a.m.
Police told NBC 5’s Deborah Ferguson it took a while to reopen the road because an 18-wheeler was involved.
Police did not say who was involved or how many people were in the truck.
