Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a report of workers trapped under a building in Coppell on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters received a call around 3:19 p.m. of workers trapped at 2275 Sage Hill Lane.
According to DFR, workers were manually digging a tunnel under a building when the tunnel collapsed on the workers, trapping them.
DFW Urban Search and Rescue was called to the scene to extricate the workers.
According to the Dallas Police Department, two plumbers were working underground when a wall collapsed on them, trapping the two people.
One worker was rescued and crews are working to rescue the second worker, according to police.
Texas Sky Ranger flew over the scene and could see digging in progress to reach the workers.
