National Weather Service – Heat Advisory (June 19, 2026)
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is issuing a Heat Advisory for the Alamo City and surrounding area heading into the weekend, and severe weather could also pop up in much of South Central Texas.
While daytime highs will stay in the mid-to-low 90s over the next several days, the chance for flash-flooding will also enter the picture for much of South Central Texas, according to the National Weather Service. The Heat Index could go as high as 112 in some areas.
What to Know:
Rounds of locally heavy rain may result in flash flooding and rises on area creeks, streams, and rivers from late Friday night through Saturday.
Greatest risk occurs Friday through Friday night across majority of South-Central Texas where there is a level 2 of 4 risk for excessive rainfall.
Rainfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour at times in the heaviest rain.
