Get ready to be thunderstruck, San Antonio.

Multi-million-selling hard rock act AC/DC is will perform Friday, July 24, at the Alamodome, according to a spate of new dates concert-promoter Live Nation unveiled Monday for the band’s ongoing Power Up tour.

Tickets for San Antonio show will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 via the band’s website. Die-hard fans may also want to note that tickets for a Monday, Aug. 31, stop at Houston’s NRG Stadium become available at the same time.

The Power Up tour is named for AC/DC’s most recent album, which dropped in 2020. The release reached No. 1 in more than 20 countries despite it being the first minus the band’s longstanding rhythm section of Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams.

Indeed, the current incarnation of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band features lead guitarist Angus Young as its only original member, although singer Brian Johnson has been onboard since the band’s colossal 1980 album Back in Black.

The remainder of AC/DC is made up of drummer Matt Laug, bassist Chris Chaney and six-stringer Stevie Young, the nephew of Angus Young and his late brother Malcolm, the band’s longtime rhythm guitarist.
