7:55 a.m. update: The collision on U.S. Highway 75 has cleared and all lanes have been reopened. Interstate 30 lanes are still closed.
Several collisions took place late Sunday night and early Monday morning causing full lane closures on segments of Interstate 30 and U.S. Highway 75.
A collision occurred on I-30 close to 11 p.m. Sunday at Bass Pro Drive in Garland. According to a Facebook post by the Garland Police Department, a sedan and an 18-wheeler collided while driving westbound on the interstate, causing the 18-wheeler to hit the concrete barrier. The truck’s cargo spilled into the eastbound lanes and a vehicle collided with the debris. Four individuals were in the sedan, including two children. Three of them were transported to a local hospital.
“Significant traffic delays are expected,” the Garland Police Department said in the post. “Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period while emergency personnel investigate the crash and crews work to clear the scene.”
All lanes remain closed, and officers are still clearing the scene, according to Texas Department of Transportation cameras.
U.S. Highway 75
On U.S. 75, a collision closed all lanes at Mockingbird Lane heading northbound around 5 a.m. Monday. Emergency services responded to the scene. Traffic is being diverted to the service lane.
All lanes remain closed, and officers are still clearing the scene, according to Texas Department of Transportation cameras.
The Texas Department of Public Safety, Dallas County Sheriff’s Department and Dallas Police Department did not respond to immediate requests for comment.
