EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Three siblings have been arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened Saturday night at a grocery store in Far East El Paso,
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, brothers Isaiah Jonathan Cardenas, 20, Felipe De Jesus Cardenas, 22, and their sister, Zaithed Janet Cardenas, were arrested Monday after investigators identified them as the suspects in the stabbing of two people that happened at the Vista Market on the 14700 block of Montana Avenue, which happened Saturday at around 8:51 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Office said it all started after deputies arrived at the grocery store after hearing reports of a stabbing, only to find that both the suspects and the victims had left the scene.
Investigators said they found the victims first at a hospital where they were being treated after suffering serious injuries, and then they found the suspect’s vehicle.
The vehicle was reportedly found hidden behind a mobile home at the 15500 block of Sun Beam Drive, which Google Maps shows is six miles north of the store where the stabbing happened. Some evidence was recovered from the vehicle.
As a result, on Sunday, investigators identified brothers Isaiah and Felipe De Jesus as the suspects in the stabbing and found them at the 1000 block of South Mesa Hills, at an apartment complex.
The Sheriff’s Office alleged that Isaiah saw the deputies at the apartment complex and quickly ran back to the apartment where he barricaded himself with his brother Felipe De Jesus, his sister, Zaithed and their mother.
After a SWAT standoff, both brothers surrendered to authorities, as well as the sister, Zaithed, as she is being accused of hiding her brothers from authorities.
The standoff was caught on video by neighbors and shared on the popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso.

All three siblings were booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail, where, as of Monday afternoon, they remain.
