High Street Residential, the residential subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, has partnered with Tokyu Land US Corporation to begin construction on a new 281-unit multifamily community in the heart of downtown Richardson.
Located near Richardson’s Downtown District, the development is designed to capitalize on growing demand for walkable housing options with convenient access to employment centers, dining, entertainment and public transportation.

The project highlights the confidence developers continue placing in Richardson’s long-term growth story. While many North Texas suburbs have focused primarily on outward expansion, Richardson has spent years investing in the redevelopment and densification of key areas throughout the city, particularly around its DART rail stations and downtown districts.
The new community is expected to bring 281 apartment homes to the area, creating additional housing opportunities for young professionals, corporate employees and residents seeking an urban-style lifestyle outside of Dallas’ traditional urban core. Developers say the project will feature modern amenities and community-focused spaces designed to appeal to today’s renters, who increasingly prioritize convenience, connectivity and walkability.

Recent investments from companies such as Celestica, which recently announced a major expansion that will bring thousands of new jobs to Richardson, continue strengthening the city’s economic foundation and creating additional demand for nearby housing.
