EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KOAA) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office had issued a shelter-in-place order for an area east of Monument on Tuesday. As of 1:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office says that the shelter-in-place order has been lifted.
The incident happened along 4000 Bobbie Kay Place, which is located near the Highway 83 and Walker Road interchange.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, three people were in an argument when one of them pulled out a gun and fired, hitting one person.
At this time, the condition of the person who was shot is unknown.
The sheriff’s office says the suspect is on the run, but there is no threat to the community at this time.
