Plano’s own Vegan Vibrationz has made State Fair of Texas history as the first vendor in the event’s 139-year run to serve exclusively vegan food. The milestone earned the restaurant a Compassionate Business Award from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Owned by identical twin brothers Jovan and Josh Cole, Vegan Vibrationz brings plant-based comfort food to the 2025 state fair, where it’s serving up an all-vegan menu now through Oct. 19.

Comfort Food, Reimagined

The Cole brothers’ menu is designed to make vegan food approachable and crave-worthy. Visitors can find hearty sandwiches, burgers, loaded nachos and the restaurant’s popular fast–food–inspired crunchwrap. The grilled tortilla is packed with plant-based meat, black beans, coconut milk–based cheese, chipotle aioli, lettuce and tomatoes. The booth also offers smoothies and juices for fairgoers looking for lighter fare.

“From plant-powered sandwiches bursting with flavor to a craveable crunchwrap with a vegan twist, Vegan Vibrationz offers an animal-friendly answer to comfort food cravings,” PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk said in an official statement. “PETA is celebrating Vegan Vibrationz for creating a mouthwatering menu that even the staunchest of carnivores can’t resist.”

From Pop-Up To Plano Favorite

Vegan Vibrationz began in 2018 as a pop-up at the Dallas Farmers Market before finding a permanent home at Legacy Hall in Plano. The restaurant has since gained a loyal following, drawing in both vegans and curious food lovers alike.

Now, with their State Fair of Texas debut, the brothers have expanded their reach while putting Plano’s vegan scene on the map.

Recognition From PETA

Along with the Compassionate Business Award, Vegan Vibrationz will receive a framed certificate and vegan chocolates from PETA. For the Cole brothers, the honor is both a recognition of their mission and a reminder of how far the plant-based movement has come.
