According to a WARN notice filed with the state, the bank is eliminating certain call center functions at its office at 8181 Communications Parkway, Building A, separating 244 from employment.

Job titles most affected include various levels of fraud specialists, per accompanying documentation.

“We regularly review our business needs and adjust our staffing accordingly – creating new roles where we see the need or reducing positions when appropriate. We continue to hire in many other areas and work hard to redeploy impacted employees,” the company said in a statement. “This impacts a small operations team that we are consolidating to our larger existing operations locations. We are working hard to redeploy impacted employees.”

The statement emphasized JPMorgan Chase’s commitment to Plano, where the company employs more than 12,500 people. It also has more than 800 open positions there, according to the statement.

The layoffs come with a 60-day notice, with first terminations occurring on August 21, per the notice. Separated employees will be eligible for JPMorgan Chase’s severance plan, and the company says it will help affected employees find new available jobs within the company if they qualify.
