MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) – A 43-year-old man previously wanted in connection with a shooting near Club Remy has been arrested in Lubbock and is currently in custody, according to Midland police.
Midland police have said officers responded around 3:12 a.m. June 21 to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of South Lee Street.
Investigators determined the shooting happened near Club Remy in the area of South Lee Street.
Police said the victim, a 25-year-old Midland man, was taken by private vehicle to Midland Memorial Hospital.
The victim was last reported to be in stable but critical condition.
Police previously identified the suspect as Jarmar Monk, and said a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Officials now say Monk has been arrested in Lubbock and is in custody.
The case is being investigated as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
