Fort Worth ISD’s Texas-appointed board of managers approved more than $43 million in new spending during its June 23 meeting.
Among the bigger purchases are an $8.1 million bump in a safety fence installation contract, a nearly $7.5 million purchase of insurance and an almost $7.5 million purchase of commercial property insurance.
Managers also approved several items that will have a direct impact on students, including contracting a third-party group for speech therapy and other special education-related services; paying SAT and AP exam fees; and setting the budget for Texas Wesleyan University-managed campuses.
Manager Tennessee Walker was absent.
