A 43-year-old suspect has now been arrested in Lubbock following an early Sunday morning shooting near Club Remy in Midland.
MIDLAND, Texas — A suspect in an early Sunday morning shooting that left a 25-year-old injured has now been arrested in Lubbock on Wednesday, according to City Officials.
Jarmar Monk, 43, was previously identified as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Sunday, police responded to the 200 block of South Lee Street around 3:12 a.m. At the scene located in Midland’s downtown area near Club Remy, investigators learned that a 25-year-old victim had been rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital in a personal vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
At last report, the victim was listed in stable but critical condition, officials said.
MPD is investigating the incident as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On Wednesday, Monk was arrested by the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and is in custody on an other agency hold.
Multiple bullet shell casings were found in the area of South Lee Street near Club Remy.
