A newly built home in Highland Park was listed for $21.5 million in early June. The home includes parallel patios, a grand staircase and other features.
The home’s architecture gives its residents views of the backyard from a patio on the first floor, said Ty Vaughn, the home’s listing agent. On the second floor, a second, parallel patio creates a pattern. The home’s views are prioritized throughout both floors.
“The architect has created this incredible visual,” Vaughn said. “From park — on the front of the house — all the way to the back of the house, to pool, to patio and then even upstairs you get visuals to downtown.”
The windows and balconies in the home offer parallel views of the backyard, pool and other sights. The mansion at 3701 Gillon Ave. was listed for $21.5 million on June 5, according to Zillow. The home was built in 2026, replacing a previous home at the site.
The home includes five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, according to the home’s listing. The nearly 11,500-square-foot home also includes a game room, a loft, bar space and study.
The mansion is across from Dyckman Park, a small green space in Highland Park. The home is also close to the Dallas County Club and Highland Park Village.
“It doesn’t have the new, wider, bigger spaces,” Vaughn said. “It doesn’t have that ability to create those stacked rooms that all sort of flow into that front or back space and give you the maximized views of the property.”
Robert Elliott Custom Homes had worked with friends of the previous owners, buying properties and redeveloping them, Vaughn said. To make room for new construction, the previous home was always going to come down, he said.
The Highland Park property was valued at $8.4 million by the Dallas Central Appraisal District. The property is located within the Highland Park Independent School District.
