Corpus Christi police are investigating a burglary at Scary Larry Pickles where thieves allegedly stole items including a laptop and a safe.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police are investigating a burglary at a local pickle shop after thieves allegedly broke in and stole several items early Wednesday morning.
The burglary happened at Scary Larry Pickles, located near Saratoga Boulevard and Everhart Road. Surveillance cameras captured video of the suspects outside the business during the overnight break-in.

Owner Larry Garcia told 3NEWS that the thieves stole multiple items, including an HP laptop, tools, ice chests and a safe. Garcia said the suspects may have also taken some of the shop’s signature pickles.
Despite the setback, Garcia said he is trying to remain positive and is offering a unique reward to help recover the stolen property: “pickles for life.”
Garcia said he decided to share the incident publicly not only in hopes of identifying the suspects, but also to encourage residents to stay alert and look out for one another.
“It’s just sad that we’re part of this community, we work hard for our families to survive, and for someone to come in who just doesn’t care at all about how it affects people’s lives,” Garcia said. “I really feel we have to let the community know. We have to be more vigilant, more aware. If anybody sees something suspicious going on, please speak out. It’s not just us — it happens a lot.”
