An officer with the Houston Police Department has been indicted for alleged sexual assault of a child, according to Harris County court documents.
Pablo Diaz-Buscio, 36, was indicted by a grand jury Monday on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age. According to the charging document, the alleged assault took place in October 2025.
A spokesperson for the Houston Police Department (HPD) told Houston Public Media on Thursday that Diaz-Buscio is on administrative leave with pay.

Diaz-Buscio’s attorney, Mark Hochglaube, told Houston Public Media that his client was innocent and has been cooperating with the investigation.
Aggravated assault of a child under 14 years of age is a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison and a fine up to $10,000.
Diaz-Buscio has been released from jail on a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.
His next hearing in the case is set for Oct. 18.
In June 2025, Diaz-Buscio was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member after allegedly pointing a gun at a relative during an argument. That case was dismissed by a grand jury in December 2025.
