EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — LA Rapper Lefty Gunplay is returning to El Paso in July after the last time he got arrested and missed his show.
On Thursday, the Mona Bar of Modern Art in Downtown El Paso posted on social media a video showing Lefty Gunplay, real name Franklin Scott Holladay, inviting people to his show scheduled for July 18.

As you may remember, Lefty Gunplay was arrested back in February 2025 before he was set to take the stage at a “Chuco Brunch” event hosted at the Friendz, Sports Bar & Kitchen located at 1798 George Dieter Dr. in East El Paso.
The arrest caused Lefty Gunplay to miss his show and in an interview with the radio station Power102, he told Radio Host Patti Diaz that he wanted to make it up to his El Paso fans.

Police documents revealed that he had been arrested after the vehicle he was riding in was pulled over because Lefty Gunplay and another passenger weren’t wearing their seatbelts, and after a search, police alleged they found drugs hidden in the rapper’s groin.
Records show the charges were dismissed on March 24, 2026.
