SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Texas is known for beautiful sunsets, especially due to the thick clouds that are sometimes present and take on an array of colors and sometimes cast intriguing shadows.
Starting Monday, sunsets are likely to get redder and perhaps a bit more dim as a thick layer of Saharan dust trapped in the upper atmosphere passes through much of Texas.
Eastern and central Texas will see the effects, but since the dust is as high as it is, the effects on the ground should be minimal.
Once the dust clears, you should see partly cloudy skies along with plenty of sunshine heading toward the Fourth of July with daytime highs in the mid-90s in San Antonio, the Hill Country and most of the I-35 Corridor.
