Thomas Rhett will be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1 p.m. in Walk of Fame Park, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Rhett will become the 113th honoree in the landmark’s history, marking the milestone during the Walk of Fame’s 20th anniversary year.
The Nashville native has spent the past decade cementing his place among country music’s elite, accumulating 25 No. 1 hits and earning five GRAMMY nominations along the way. His body of work reflects exactly the kind of artistic legacy the Walk of Fame was established to recognize — honoring those who preserve Nashville’s musical heritage and contribute to the world through song. Located along Music Mile, the Walk is an official project of Music City Inc., with founding support from Gibson and partners including BNA, the City of Nashville, Metro Parks and Recreation, and the Nashville Downtown Partnership.
Ellen Pryor, Chair of Music City Inc., the foundation of the NCVC, and Senior Advisor for Civic Engagement at the Frist Art Museum, spoke to what Rhett’s induction means to the city. “Few artists embody the heart and soul of Music City quite like Thomas Rhett,” Pryor said. “From growing up in Nashville to becoming one of country music’s biggest stars, he has remained a passionate ambassador for the city and its songwriting tradition. We are thrilled to welcome Thomas Rhett to the Music City Walk of Fame to celebrate and enshrine his many contributions to the creative music community that makes Nashville so special.”
Rhett is the first inductee of 2026, following last year’s honorees Luke Combs, Old Dominion, Charley Pride (posthumously), and Liz Rose. The induction comes one day before Rhett brings his Soundtrack of Life Tour to GEODIS Park on July 9, where Niall Horan will join him for what promises to be a landmark night for Nashville fans.
