With a record-breaking cast, NTPA’s Scrooge the Musical is returning to the Courtyard Theatre and Willow Bend Center of the Arts this year.

The spirit of the season returns to Plano as North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA) proudly presents the 15th Annual production of Scrooge the Musical, running December 10–21, 2025, at both the Courtyard Theater in Downtown Plano and the Rodenbaugh Theatre at Willow Bend Center of the Arts.

This year’s show marks a milestone for the holiday favorite, featuring a record-breaking cast of 150 adult and youth performers — including returning favorites, community leaders, and NTPA alumni — all under the direction of veteran NTPA director Mike Mazur.

Longtime performer and NTPA CEO Darrell Rodenbaugh will reprise his iconic role as Ebenezer Scrooge for the 125th time, making him the longest-running Scrooge in Texas.

“It’s a joy to bring this story of redemption and hope to life each year,” said Rodenbaugh. “The cast, the music, and the community that gathers around this production make it something truly special.”

As part of NTPA’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and community outreach, the production will once again feature its Gift to the Community performances, offering free tickets to veterans and underprivileged families.

The performance will take place from Dec. 10-14 at The Courtyard Theater and Dec. 7-21 at the Willow Bend Center of the Arts. There will also be ASL and open-captioned performances. Tickets are $18 for orchestra seating adn $28 for premium.
