DALLAS – A Dallas police officer has been fired months after his arrest on a misdemeanor family violence charge in Royse City, the department announced Thursday.
Officer Armando Jaramillo was terminated following a disciplinary hearing before Police Chief Daniel Comeaux, according to the department.
The department said Jaramillo was fired for engaging in adverse conduct after his November 2025 arrest on a charge of assault causing bodily injury to a family member, for being involved in a disturbance that prompted a police response and for failing to notify his chain of command after he was named in a protective order.
According to the criminal complaint, Jaramillo is accused of forcibly shoving and grabbing a family member. The criminal charge remains pending.
Following his arrest by Royse City police, Jaramillo was placed on administrative leave while Dallas PD conducted an internal investigation.
Jaramillo joined Dallas PD in March 2022 and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
Court records show the Class A misdemeanor assault-family violence case remains pending in Rockwall County. A docket call is scheduled for Aug. 6.
