LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A Laredo Police Department lieutenant was recognized at the Texas State Capitol on Friday, June 26, with a statewide law enforcement honor.
Lt. Jonathan Castillo received the State of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Award in the category of professional achievement.
The annual awards are presented by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, known as TCOLE, and honor licensed officers, jailers and dispatchers who demonstrate extraordinary valor, public service and professional excellence.
Castillo was among this year’s honorees, representing the Laredo Police Department on the statewide stage.
