Three months after a Texas-born burger chain announced its biggest update “of all time,” the Whataburger rival is doubling down on around-the-clock dining in San Antonio.
P. Terry’s Burger Stand flipped 11 of its existing locations into 24/7 spots in March, and San Antonio’s Broadway eatery was among them. Now, two more in the Alamo City and four in Austin are getting the same treatment, marking a battle for the cities’ late-night cravings. The announcement came Monday, June 29, just days after the Austin chain’s 10-year-old Capital Plaza location was forced to close amid the I-35 expansion.

“San Antonio has been one of our strongest growth markets,” P. Terry’s founder Patrick Terry said in a news release. “The response from guests in the area has been incredible, and expanding our 24-hour service reflects both the momentum we’re seeing today and the opportunities we believe exist for the future in San Antonio.”
There are currently six restaurants in the Alamo City, and the Medical Center and Potranco Road locations will join Broadway as 24-hour eateries. The full list of all-night diners includes:

This expansion marks 20 of the total 37 restaurants flipping burgers and slinging shakes around the clock as “part of a broader companywide initiative,” Terry said in the release. The all-night additions launched last March and have been a favorite of hungry diners.
“We’ve been listening closely to our guests – both through feedback submitted on social media and through our guest relations team,” said Patrick Terry, Founder of P. Terry’s Burger Stand. “Those insights helped guide this decision, and expanding our 24-hour model allows us to better meet our guests where they are, at any time of day.”
