Gloria Brown, the 77-year-old Corpus Christi woman whose disappearance prompted a large search effort, has been found safe.
The Corpus Christi Police Department announced that Brown was located at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said Brown was found responsive and is being transported for a medical evaluation as a precaution.
Authorities thanked the community members who shared information, remained vigilant and assisted in the search efforts.
The department also gave special recognition to the officers whose efforts led to Brown being located safely.
Brown was last seen by family members around 9 a.m. Sunday, June 28, near McArdle Road and Karchmer Drive.
Authorities said she was later seen around 12:40 p.m. near the intersection of Kostoryz Road and Gollihar Road.
As the search continued Monday, the Corpus Christi Police Department announced that the U.S. Border Patrol was assisting in efforts to locate Brown after investigators determined her disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety.
Police have not released additional information about where Brown was found or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
