The swamp is coming to life in North Texas! The award-winning Let’s Get Shrekxual: A Burlesque Parody lands in Plano this July as a part of its national tour. The nostalgic, sexy, and fantastically freaky show brings the Shrek characters to life in a high-caliber burlesque performance.
Created by Cherry BonBon Productions, co-produced by The Hell Hotel Show, Let’s Get Shrekxual is a fully-scripted burlesque parody that features a swamp-inspired spectacle described as a “glitter-drenched fever dream”.

The touring production weaves comedy, burlesque, and fairy tale fun through dazzling costumes, camp, and body positivity, reimagining the iconic story and bringing familiar figures like Shrek, Donkey, and Lord Farquaad to like – Shrekxier than ever.
“The show celebrates letting your freak flag fly,” said creator, Cherry BonBon. “This fully scripted production is a great way to celebrate yourself and a great comedic introduction to the world of burlesque for first-time visitors”.
Let’s Get Shrekxual takes place on one night, and one night only, at Mic Drop Comedy in Plano on Sunday, July 19. Doors open at 5 pm, show begins at 6 pm. Food and drink service will be available through the performance. VIP options are also available starting at $30. Tickets are available through the comedy club’s website starting at $20.
