SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Summertime heat is upon us as Independence Day approaches.
In the coming days, you should see what is expected at this time of year with daytime highs in the low-to-mid 90s for San Antonio and the Hill Country.
While daytime temperatures will appear normal, weather forecasters are still urging caution if you are spending much time outside during peak afternoon hours. The heat index in some areas could hover around 100 degrees, or better.
The forecast for the 4th of July appears to be mostly sunny with daytime highs in the upper 90s.
The next chance of rain appears to be anywhere from Saturday through the weekend, although the likelihood of rain is low.
