EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso woman was arrested for fraudulent use of identifying information.

Ilian Irais Rodriguez, a 26-year-old, has been arrested on charges of fraudulent use of personal identifying information.

Rodriguez faces two counts of fraud involving fewer than five items each, according to court records.

The charges were filed in the 384th District Court under Judge P. Garcia, with bond set at $7,500 for each count.

The case began on Jan. 30, when a victim reported to the El Paso Police Telephone Reporting Unit that a loan had been fraudulently drafted in their name and a check deposited at GECU.

An identity theft report was generated, and a financial crimes detective identified Rodriguez as a suspect in the identity fraud case.

The case was presented to the District Attorney’s Office on Jan. 31, 2025, and Rodriguez was subsequently indicted by the 384th court on Aug. 10, 2025.

Police arrested Rodriguez on Oct. 18, 2025, and she was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
