Ex-employee charged in armed robbery of Bush’s Chicken in Lacy Lakeview, Texas

  • July 2, 2026

LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) – Police arrested Ladarrius Arrington, 20, a former employee at Bush’s Chicken, after an armed robbery at the Central Texas restaurant Wednesday night.

Arrington was charged with aggravated robbery, interference with emergency request for assistance, and unlawful carry of a weapon.

The robbery happened July 1 shortly before 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Crest View Drive.

Police said Arrington, dressed in black, entered the fast food restaurant through the employee door. He brandished a firearm, and pointed the firearm at employees, police said.

During the robbery, Arrington allegedly took a phone belonging to one of the employees, police said.

Arrington then proceeded to steal a few hundred dollars in cash and then ran away from the scene, police allege.

He was located a few blocks away from the restaurant and surrendered without incident after an officer pointed his service weapon at him.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by KWTX, Arrington admitted to police that he robbed the restaurant because they owed him money from the time he was an employee.

Arrington is being held at the McLennan County Jail on bonds totaling 120,000.
