An Austin firm won a contract extension to continue operating Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County workforce centers for the 2026-27 fiscal year beginning Oct. 1.
At its June 10 meeting, the Workforce Development Board authorized Workforce Solutions executive director Robert Sturns to renew a contract with C2 Global Professional Services LLC, which operates Tarrant County job centers. The extension will run through Sept. 30 next year.
Workforce Solutions received three proposals for this contract, with C2 scoring the highest based on several criteria, workforce staff said.
The June 10 Workforce Development Board meeting was called to order by chair Rosa Navejar. Board members and staff were recognized, including senior director of finance Mark Tristan, who is retiring, and Efren Cigarroa, who is the new adult education and literacy director for Workforce Solutions.
