FORT WORTH – Julia Mantanona Taitague (Pomparu) Jackson, born on July 9, 1943, in Inarajan, Guam, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at her last residence in Fort Worth, Texas. She was 82 years old. Julia was the beloved daughter of parents, Baldovino Meno Taitague and Olivia Crisostomo Mantanona. She was a woman of deep faith and devotion to her catholic religious beliefs, Julia’s life was a testament to love and kindness. Those who knew her were touched by her warmth and generosity. Her presence brought joy to many lives and created cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Julia’s family expressed their gratitude for the blessings of having her in their lives: we are all blessed to have you in our lives and we will cherish all the special memories with you in our hearts forever. Taitague; her husband, Alfred Jackson; daughter, Lillian Jackson; siblings, Jose Mantanona, Juan Taitague, Jesus Taitague, Felix Taitague and Mary Taitague; in-laws, Arthur William and Maria Naputi Jackson, Antonio and Josephine Jackson, Erwin and Beatrice J. Bordallo, Maggie Jackson Sablan, Jesus Paulino, Samuel and Herminia J. Bersamin, Josephina N. Mantanona, Pedro Santos and Vincente Santos, and Margaret M. Duenas. Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her children, Julie T. Garcia, Sandra Taitague, Loretta Perez, Therese Jackson Carlos, William Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Gina Jackson, and Alvin Jackson; in-laws, William and Nelly Poitivint, Jesus C. Sablan, Elma Taitague, Marilou Amutan Taitague and Lourdes N. Taitague; 30 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
