LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Sergeant Greg Parrott, a law enforcement veteran who served communities across Texas, has died.
Parrott spent recent years as a mental health deputy with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Center for Life Resources. He also served as a deputy with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office for many years and previously held the position of police chief in Crosbyton.
His death was announced in a social media post by the Brown County Sheriff’s Association.
“He touched countless lives through his compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need — even while courageously battling cancer,” the post said.
Parrott is survived by his wife, Courtney, and their children.
